COGECO signs up a 3-year subscription for
MMCM
Montréal, March 1st, 2003 -
multiple-media.com announced today that national cable television
operator COGECO will use MMCM to update its new Web portal. MMCM
(Multiple Media Content Management) is a user-friendly application
that supports all file formats and Web graphical templates.
Cogeco's IT and Marketing departments will participate in the
implementation, which comes with a three-year technical support
program.
"Companies such as ING Canada and SECOR already
use MMCM, and we are proud to add COGECO to our list," said Renato
Cudicio, President of multiple-media.com. "MMCM 4.0, our latest
version, is extremely flexible and powerful, and we know COGECO
will be very satisfied with this thoroughly tested and highly
robust application."
One of MMCM's key assets is that it relieves
technical departments from content management, a tedious task that
offers specialists little or no opportunity for added value. The
application, which is easily implemented, requires no technical
skills or know-how : one hour is usually enough to get any Windows
user started. This means that content management can easily be
decentralized, thus eliminating delays and bottlenecks.
MMCM's latest version, which COGECO is implementing, has a
new architecture and it offers leading-edge features such as:
- Advanced user profile management, which allows
the administrator to define user access to various pages or
functions
- A "Multibox" function which divides pages into
different fields that can be managed separately.
MMCM supports Java, XML and XSLT scripts, and it
has been built to cater to the needs of large and medium-sized
businesses.
